Hi there, Anirban here 👋🏻
This is the last edition of 2025 and I have made some changes with respect to the cadence of the newsletter, I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow.
But for now, let me tell you how AI is slowly destroying the creators.
People stopped thinking
Earlier, creatopreneurs used to spend time thinking deeply about any topic before writing. They used to spend time with ideas, develop unique perspectives and question assumptions.
Nowadays everyone calls themselves an "AI expert" and churns out content with ChatGPT and the result is terrible.
AI-era
AI hasn't just changed how creatopreneurs work, it's destroyed their most valuable asset: their ability to think critically.
They've stopped doing the hard cognitive work that made them worth paying for in the first place.
Here's what's been lost:
The hours spent researching and connecting dots
The discomfort of spending time with complex problems
Contrarian or nuanced viewpoints
The depth that comes from genuine expertise rather than AI surface knowledge
The brutal truth:
If you look closely, people don't get paid for writing or creating content. They get paid for outcomes and strategy. They get paid for thinking that leads somewhere valuable.
But that's exactly what's lacking now. Creatopreneurs have become glorified prompt engineers, middlemen between AI and audiences. They've outsourced the one thing that justified their existence: original thought.
What this means:
The market is now flooded with indistinguishable, AI-generated mediocrity.
Everyone sounds the same. Everyone has the same ‘insights’ because they're all pulling from the same AI models.
The creatopreneurs who survive, they'll be the rare ones who still do the uncomfortable work of actual thinking.
The question isn't whether AI is a useful tool. The question is: Have you let it replace the thinking that made you valuable? If you can't tell the difference anymore, you're already gone.
Thanks for checking the last edition of this year. See you on Thursday,
Anirban
