Shoppers are adding to cart for the holidays

Over the next year, Roku predicts that 100% of the streaming audience will see ads. For growth marketers in 2026, CTV will remain an important “safe space” as AI creates widespread disruption in the search and social channels. Plus, easier access to self-serve CTV ad buying tools and targeting options will lead to a surge in locally-targeted streaming campaigns.

Read our guide to find out why growth marketers should make sure CTV is part of their 2026 media mix.

Hi there, Anirban here 👋🏻

Merry Christmas! I hope you’re enjoying an amazing time with your family.

Some people say these few days are the best time of the year, as Christmas is here and the new year is just 6 days away. Well, it’s on you!

Today, as you’re enjoying I won’t make you think deeply, I just want to share something that might help you become more authentic.

People are lying

I have been in the creator economy for years now. I see how people operate and grow every single day.

And a lot of people are lying. Worse, they are teaching others to lie, too.

The biggest scam?

‘I do not know how to make money, but I will teach you how to make money, and that is how I will make money.’

You see this logic in courses, coaching, and every new trend.

If you want to be authentic, the first step is always tell the truth.

Yes, everyone goes through rough phases, lows and periods where nothing seems to work.

But if you follow the idea of fake it till you make it, get ready to fail badly.

As a creatopreneur, transparency matters. People connect with the version of you that is real, not the fake character you show online.

Everyone is an expert

These days, people with two-month-old social media profiles call themselves personal brand strategists or experts.

It is so funny.

Branding takes years to understand properly. People study it, practise it, and never call themselves experts.

Yet many new creators decide they are experts within a month or two. On top of that, they make a course and sell it.

They tell you to do the same to make a lot of money.

Do not fall for it.

If you have a skill and you keep creating consistently, growth will come.

Not in the first month.

But it will come.

Content creation is one of the most powerful long-term plays you can make. Do not stop. Keep publishing.

Document everything

Most people think you need to have everything figured out before you start sharing. You do not.

Instead of pretending that you have all the answers, start showing the process.

  • What you are learning.

  • What worked.

  • What did not?

People trust progress, and they feel connected with your journey.

The biggest creators did not grow because they were experts from day one. They grew because they documented their journey religiously.

Building in public forces you to stay honest with yourself and the audience.

And over time, this becomes your unfair advantage.

Audience first, monetisation later

Most people start with monetisation. 2They build an offer first and then look for an audience.

That is where the problem starts.

When you do not have trust, no one cares about you.

So always build an audience first, then build trust.

After that, think about monetisation.

If you keep creating and helping people, monetisation becomes easier over time.

Not immediately. But eventually it will happen. This is how you’ll build an amazing creatopreneur business.

Thanks for checking today’s edition. See you on Saturday,

Anirban
